The construction of the Cathedral was very complicated and lasted from the 16th th the 18th century. It was built over the former Central Mosque and shows a mélange of Gothic, Renaissance and Barroque motifs.
It has three exterior façades, the main one being dedicated to the Holy Incarnation. The Cathedral has a collection of 47 canvases painted in oils, which date from the 17th and 18th centuries.

*Access for the visit is through the door next to the Portada de San Torcuato, in the Paseo de la Catedral. Flash photography is not allowed.
*Climbing to the Tower every half hour. Maximum pass for 14 people.
